Today, I watched the hollywood movie - "Man of Fire" from which the bollywood version "Ek Ajnabee" was remade. Well... this is one of those times when I think that the bollywood is better than the hollywood.

Oh No! I have no criticisms on Denzel Washington's in fact Dakota Fanning looks more angelic and smarter than Rucha Vaidya. And the whole movie in itself was more realistic. But I guess it was the whole "picturization" that wasn't up to the mark. But hey, the storyline is good, and it is a movie worth watching.... especially if you haven't yet watched "Ek Ajnabee" or have no zeal for Hindi movies.

I had heard of this Oscar winning movie... but never knew there was a bollywood version for this one --- Sangarsh. Actually I watched the hindi version just a few months ago for the second (or was it third) time. I liked the different story line, when I saw Sangarsh.

But this one --- "The Silence of the Lambs" --- its one of the best I've seen. Actually, I had seen the pre-quel to the "Hannibal Lector" story which was released recently - Hannibal Rising. It was queasy and violent and so is the "Silence of the Lambs". But it was very thrilling.... and reminds of the old movie "Psycho". A good watch but not for the faint hearted!

Yesterday, I went for the free screening of this movie... and believe me the movie is just so great. The movie is based on the true facts about brutal Ugandan dictator Idi Amin's regime. There are some gory scenes though. Forest Whitaker did a great job, playing the role of Amin and James McAvoy (who is a Scott and plays the role of a Scottish doctor in the movie) is sooo cute. I would definitely recommend this movie.
